Now I need to teach you how to Find High Paying , Low Competition , Adsense Keywords. The is where 99 % of your time should be spent. I repeat, this is where 99 % of your time should be spent. You won't make money with great content, you will make money with great KEYWORDS! Here I will give you all the tools you need to find magical Keywords that are sure to bring you the big bucks.
Luckily for us google gives us everything we need to research keywords! The tool that you should refer to consistently is google's keyword research tool. You can find it here:
Using the example we used before of the keyword "Cheap Flights". Using the Google Keyword tool, as you can see in the image below (click on image to make larger ) , this keyword has 13,600,000 searches in the month of December Alone!
Wow incredible! That's the good news... Now for the bad news....
Before I explain why "Cheap Flight" isn't as great of a keyword as it sounds I need to take a minute to explain some new terminology to you. The word is Page Rank, ussually referred to as 'PR'. Through some secret algorithm Google assigns each page a PR. ( In later blog entries I will explain to you how you can increase your webpages PR ). PR is a numerical value of; 0 to 10. 10 being the highest. 0 being the lowest. 8 through 10 is extremely hard to achieve. While 1 through 3 is relatively easy to achieve. Google, for example is a 10. Amazon.com is an 9. These numbers are basically determine how much impact or weight your webpage carries and the likely hood of it being ranked in a search engines.
As a general, very general, rule google will rank a PR page of 8 above a PR page of 0. I say that this is a general rule because other things besides PR determine where you land in the search engines. We will get into them at another time.

To determine PR in webpages I suggest downloading the web-brower Motzilla's Firefox. You can get it by clicking here --> [ Click Here ] . Then getting the add-on extension called SEO Status PageRank. Back to the Bad News.....
Now that we have our Firefox's add-on search for the term "Cheap Flight" again.. As you can see from the image below (click on it to make it bigger) when you search for this keyword the first page of google is filled with PR5, PR 6 and PR 7 pages! Pages rank this high will be nearly impossible to compete with! Thus, this is NOT A Good Keyword!!! Throw in the towel, and try another one.
The keyword research aspect of making money with Google adsense can be time consuming and tedious. Like I said at the beginning of this blog entry, it should be where you spend most of your time, because it is the most important part of making money online! I highly recommend that in order to jump start your money making with google that you get the 25 high paying , low competition, adsense keywords that is available on this site. Now that we know how to weed out which adsense keywords are worth going after, we need to spend some time to determine just how much money they will make us! It will be up to you to determine if a; Keyword with virtually no competition, but will make you $.02 a click is worth chasing or if it's more worth your wild to chase a keyword with higher competition that will make you $.10 a keyword. My list of 25 high paying keywords contains keywords with virtually no competition and will make you any where from $.50 - $3.00 a click!
Determining the approximate price you will get per-click is easy! Very easy. However, it is important to know that these are just averages. These averages include the HIGH and LOW Price Per Click (PCP). Thus, for a key word you estimate you will get $.02 a click. In a single day you might make $.01 cent or $.05 cents a click on that keyword. It all depends....
Ok. So, go back to the google keyword tool found here: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal . Click on the drop down bar ( highlighted on the image below Click on image for it to get bigger. ) labeled "Choose Columns to Display". Choose the option " Show All " ( Also Highlighted in the image below - Click on image for it to get bigger. )

After doing this you will get a column labeled " CPC ", which stands for "Cost Per Click". This is the average cost an advertiser pays google per click for that keyword. When I did this for the keyword "cheap flight" the CPC was $2.14 (see image below). As we learned earlier you will be paid approximately 40% of the CPC. Thus, for this keyword you would get about $0.86 Per-Click! This would be a great keyword if the competition wasn't so high!
Now I would start making an excel sheet. Highlight the winning keywords Green, and the loosing ones Red!
A Recap:
#1. 90% Of your time should be placed in to Keyword Research. I highly recommend eliminating this time by getting 25 high paying, low competition keywords using the "Buy Now Button" above.
#2. Pages Ranked with 1 - 3 PR are easily beaten. ( Stick with these )
Pages Ranked with 4 - 7 PR are very, very hard to beat. ( Forget it )
Pages Ranked with 8 - 10 PR are nearly impossible. ( No Chance, leave it alone! )
#3. Determine how much money you will make per-click with google's Keyword tool.
Homework:Take sometime to explore different keywords. Look at things around you and see how much that keyword is worth. For example, I have a blackberry, coffee cup, pens , baby picture at my desk right now. What's around you, and how much are they worth as a keyword?
